R’lyeh is a hack of Durf.

It adapts the game’s procedures and themes into a ruleset designed for tabletop scenarios of horror, investigation, mystery and madness.

As such, it is extremely important that precautions are taken before game sessions. Before starting your sessions, make sure that all the players are comfortable with the themes dealt with in this style of game. Always respect their limits and decisions.

Be careful, take care of each other and have a good game.

Cool game! I know it's older, but I'll be hacking this into a Play by Post format for my online friends and me. However, I noticed that protection isn't given a definition anywhere in the zine? My best assumption is it acts like temp hit points, when it's zero the "armor" or other type "breaks"?

Anyway. Thanks for providing a neat little TTRPG! Will update to say how it goes

Sorry for the delay, I've been a bit absent from itch this end of year.

I'm really glad you enjoyed the game! You're right, consider protection as temporary hit points. It can break permanently or just be unusable until it's repaired.

I hope you and your friends have fun playing and I look forward to hearing how the session went. Don't hesitate to ask any other questions about the system :)
